BRACE Partners with Pensacola Harley-Davidson to Kick Off First-Ever Rev-Up Rally
On November 16th, BRACE teamed up with Pensacola Harley-Davidson to host the first-ever Rev-Up Rally, a ride for disaster preparedness awareness. The Rev-Up Rally was a 100-mile dice run with eight roll stops at local businesses around Escambia County. A total of 36 participants signed up to ride and help spread disaster preparedness awareness throughout the county.
The entire team worked hard on the rally, reaching out to the community for partners, sponsors, and general awareness. The team successfully established partnerships with local businesses, including, but not limited to, Whataburger, The Lost Pizza Co., Jimmy’s Grill, and many more. This hard work paid off with multiple prizes donated for auctions and raffles, some coming from companies as far as central Alabama.
On the day of the rally, participants, volunteers, and supporters gathered at Harley-Davidson of Pensacola to embark on the 100-mile ride. As all the riders began their journey around the county, the volunteers and supporters ensured the smooth operation of the rally. Two volunteers at each roll stop called into the scorer’s table with each participant’s roll numbers, while other volunteers manned the raffle, auction, breakfast, and merchandise tables. These efforts contributed to the rally’s overall success.
Once the riders returned to Harley-Davidson, they had the opportunity to participate in disaster preparedness awareness-related games, enjoy food and refreshments from food trucks, and engage in good community fellowship. The success of the rally was a true reflection of the dedication and collaboration of all those who helped turn the event into a reality.
