BRACE and TEEX Provide Disaster Preparedness Course to 22 Escambia Residents

On August 16th and 17th, BRACE teamed up with the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX) to offer a free Disaster Preparedness course to 22 Escambia County residents.

The course, “When Disaster Strikes: Prepare, Act, Survive,” focused on helping individuals and families prepare for, survive, and recover from disasters. Participants learned through discussions and hands-on activities based on real-life scenarios.

This program aimed to teach residents how to create emergency plans, secure their homes, and respond effectively in an emergency. BRACE continues to work with local partners to strengthen disaster preparedness across Escambia County.
